On The Blade

You don't play a minigame. You run a business — and answer for it when the night goes wrong.

v0.2.0 — early build Single player only One build, both editions Adults only

What it is

A management sim wearing a crime game's clothes

Recruit a crew off the street. Post them to corners. Collect every hour, and drive out when the operation generates a problem — because it will.

Everything stays at the abstraction the base game uses: money, timers, heat, fade to black. The interesting part was never the corner. It's deciding who works it, when, and what you do the night a rival decides it's theirs.

Two ways to earn

An hourly street take that draws heat, and a safe weekly deposit that only builds while a worker is off the street. They compete for the same hours.

Six corners, four crews

Work a neutral corner to claim it. Take a held one by force. Rivals come back for turf you hold — and only turf you've actually staffed.

A roster with shapes

Hustlers earn on the street. Camera-ready ones build an audience. Fragile ones break when you push them. Loyal ones never walk.

Heat that bites

Let a corner run hot and vice turn it over — everyone off the street, the block shut for days. Bribe it down, launder it away, or pay for it.

Somebody else's earner

Half the people worth signing already work for someone. Take one and she comes in experienced, distrustful, and with her old crew right behind her.

A way to lose

Wages, bail and fines you can't cover become debt, and debt compounds. Let it run and the people you owe come collecting.

A night on the block

How it actually plays

  1. 20:00Night rate kicks in. Three of your crew are out on Del Perro; two are resting and building followers instead.
  2. 21:00First take of the night lands. Heat on Del Perro ticks up — that's four hours before it's a problem.
  3. 21:40A client turns on Marisol. Red blip. You've got ninety seconds and you're across the map.
  4. 22:15You bribe the corner cool rather than pull anyone off it. Expensive, but the night's not over.
  5. 23:30The Lost MC move on a corner you took off them last week. They brought five.
  6. 00:00Wages clear. The weekly deposit lands. You're up — and every crew on the map is angrier than they were yesterday.

Early build

v0.2.0 is playable but young. Systems are in and working; balance and placement are still being tuned against real play. Expect rough edges and expect them to move.

Before you start

What you need

Read this first

Story mode only. Loading script mods into GTA Online will get your account banned. On Enhanced, launch without BattlEye.

Install

  1. Base tools into the game folder

Script Hook V and SHVDNE go in the folder with GTA5.exe. Make a scripts folder there if you don't have one.

  2. Three files into scripts

    <game root>/scripts/
      OnTheBlade.dll
      LemonUI.SHVDN3.dll
      iFruitAddon2.dll

Don't put ScriptHookVDotNet3.dll in there — a second copy breaks script loading. It belongs in the game root only.

  3. Load story mode and press F5

You should get an On The Blade loaded notification. If a key clashes with another mod, both are rebindable in config.json.

F5Operations — roster, territory, upgrades, property, muscle
F1Phone — status, recall everyone, fast travel

Content and conduct

Adult themes, handled the way the base game handles them — abstracted, no explicit content. Every character is an adult. What's modelled is management and turf: money, hours, heat, territory.
